Memphis Grizzlies vs Golden State Warriors NBA Playoff Betting Odds Game 5 Free Pick

The NBA Playoffs continue on Wednesday night and we will see the Memphis Grizzlies travel to Oracle arena to take on the Golden State Warriors in game 5 of their best of 7 series. Free Pick to follow. The game has a start time of 10:30 pm (Eastern) and will be televised on TNT. Current Vegas betting odds have Golden State listed as 9.5 point favorites, while the total is set at 195.5.

Analysis: The Memphis Grizzlies have been healthier in this series than in their series vs the Trailblazers and they have really shown they they can play with the powerful Warriors squad. The Grizzlies did have a 2-1 lead in this series, but Golden State did get the better of them in game 4 with a big 17 point win. Memphis has been a solid road team this year where they have gone 26-19 and took game 2 here. Memphis has gone 7-2 ATS in their last 9 Conference Semifinals games, but just 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games following a double-digit loss at home. The Grizzlies have scored just 97.2 ppg on 45.8% shooting overall and 33.7% from long range on the road this year. Defensively they have been solid away from home as they have allowed just 97.4 ppg on 45.9% shooting overall and 37.0% shooting from long range.

The Warriors have really been the best team in the NBA and took out the Pelicans in 4 games, but they have had some issues with the defense of the Grizzlies and are currently locked in a war with this team. The Series is now tied up at 2 games apiece after the Warriors won by 17 in Memphis on Monday night. The Warriors have gone 42-3 at home for the year so far and would love to get revenge for their home loss to the Grizzlies in game 2. Golden State has gone 18-6-2 ATS in their last 26 home games vs. a team with a winning road record, but just 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games following a S.U. win. The Warriors have scored 112.5 ppg on 49.4% shooting overall and 41.2% from long range at home this year. Defensively they have been decent at home as they have allowed just 98.2 ppg on 43.2% shooting overall and 34.0% shooting from long range.

Pick: I will be going with the Over in this game. The Warriors have been held in check offensively in this series and in their last game here they put up just 90 points in the 7 point loss. They will not let that happen again. This offense is just too good for that to happen again. The Warriors have averaged 112.5 ppg and I can'r see them being held under 105 in this one. The Warriors have allowed 98 ppg at home, while the Grizzlies have scored 97 ppg on the road, so I can see them getting into the upper 90s here. I do not look for the Warriors to continue to let the Grizzlies slow the game down. especially on their home floor. I look for them to quicken the pace and unless Memphis want's to go down 3 games to 2 they will have to play along and look to score more. This one should hit 200+.

MovieMemphis is Toast Against Golden State--Buy/Sell?
The NBA Playoffs series between the Memphis Grizzlies and Golden State Warriors is tied 2-2, but professional sports handicapper Steve Fezzik says the Grizzlies have as much chance of winning this series as a lawyer does getting out of John Grisham's The Firm. The Warriors are the team to beat in the West and Fezzik compares this series to having a bye into the semifinals, predicting the series won't go past Game 6, even with Grizzlies like Mike Conley putting forth their best effort.
