NBA Odds Charlotte Bobcats at Brooklyn Nets Free Pick

Pro Hoops on Saturday and we will see the Charlotte Bobcats travel north to take on the Brooklyn Nets. The game is scheduled for a 7:30 pm (Eastern) start time and will be televised locallyCurrently the Odds for the game have Brooklyn favored by 14.5 points while the total sits at 106.5.

Analysis: The Bobcats are playing the second of a back-to-back, having lost to the Miami Heat (minus LeBron James and Dwyane Wade) by 10 points at home on Saturday. Charlotte has dropped 11 straight games on the road. The Bobcats are 1-18 on the road since Jan. 27 and 2-6 in their last eight overall contests after falling 89-79 to a short-handed Miami on Friday.  Michael Kidd-Gilchrist closed out March by scoring in double figures in four of five games, but he had only four points in Wednesday's win over Philadelphia after missing the previous game due to personal reasons. He got back on track with 18 points and a career-high 14 rebounds against Miami. Charlotte's backcourt tandem of Gerald Henderson and Kemba Walker combined to shoot a woeful 5-of-31 against the Heat. The Bobcats own the league's worst road record at 6-32 and their last win over the Nets was in New Jersey on April 11, 2011.

The Brooklyn Nets have to regroup from a costly loss that could possibly cost them home-court advantage in the first round of the playoffs. Fortunately for the Nets, they have the opportunity to get back on track against a favorable opponent when the league-worst Charlotte Bobcats pay a visit today. Brooklyn, which leads Chicago by one game for the No. 4 seed, has posted a pair of comfortable wins over the Bobcats this season, including a 99-78 blowout win in Charlotte on March 6. Center Brook Lopez appeared on his way to a career night against the Bulls, scoring 18 of his 28 points in the first quarter and looking virtually unstoppable. Lopez cooled off the rest of the way, though, and compounded matters in the final seconds by committing an awful turnover and having a shot blocked on a potential tying basket. Lopez scored 26 in a 97-81 home victory Dec. 28, and Johnson and Deron Williams combined for 42 in a 99-78 win in Charlotte on March 6. Williams had a game-best 30 points Thursday,

Pick: Boy I really like the Nets here. Charlotte is not in a good spot, coming off the Miami game at home last night and now traveling to take on the Nets the next day. This Charlotte offense has struggled to score for much of the year and have put up just 78 and 81 points in their two meetings with the Nets this year. The Nets won those games by 21 and 16 points. Brooklyn is off a loss to the Bulls, but that home loss was on the Heels of a very long trip and teams usually do much better in their 2nd game back than their first. Brooklyn still has playoff seeding to fight for so they should be fully focused here and coming off a loss should have them even more focused. Nets by 17+ here.
