NBA Free Picks Golden State Warriors vs Portland Trailblazers

NBA basketball on Sunday night and we will see Golden State Warriors travel to Portland, Oregon to take on the Portland Trailblazers. The game has a start time of 9:00 pm (Eastern) and will be televised locally on NBA Tv. Vegas odds have the Trailblazers listed as 3.5 point favorites, while the total sits at 203.5.

Stat Packs: The Golden State Warriors are having a solid year as they come in at 49-29 on the year and they are headed to the playoffs in back-to-back years for the first time since 1991 and 1992. The Warriors are also a solid 23-16 on the road this year as well. Golden State is a very good offensive team as they come in ranked 10th in the league in scoring at 103.6 ppg, while also ranking 9th in shooting overall (46.1%) and 5th in 3pt shooting (37.8%). Just 3 players average in double figures on this team, led by Steph Curry, who scores 23.6 ppg on the year. Klay Thomson is next at 18.4 ppg, while close behind is David lee, who averages 18.3 ppg. At the defensive end of the floor the Warriors are also very solid as they rank 8th in points allowed (98.8 ppg), 4th in defensive FG% (43.4%) and 3rd in 3pt defense (34.2%).

The Portland Trailblazers come in with a mighty fine 52-28 record on the year and are currently in the 5th spot in the Western Conference standings. Portland has also been very good at home this year, going 29-10. Portland comes in averaging 106.3 ppg, which is 3rd in the league. They are also ranked 14th in FG% (44.9%), 9th in 3pt shooting (37.1%) and 1st in FT shooting (81.7%). Lamarcus Aldrige leads the team in scoring at 23.2 ppg, while also leading the team in rebounding (11.2 rpg). Damian Lillard leads the team in assists (5.6), while scoring 20.9 ppg and hitting 39.2% from beyond the Arc. Wes Mathews (16.4 ppg), Nicola Batum (13.1 ppg) and Robin Lopez (11.0 ppg) round out the DD scorers for the team. Defensively the Blazers rank 20th in points allowed (102.6 ppg) and 11th in defensive FG% (45.1%).

Pick: Lets go with the Under in this one. The Warriors have played excellent defense this year, while Portlands has played decent defense at home, allowing 100.6 ppg on their home floor. Both teams are just trying to stay healthy for the playoffs so I don't expect a run an gun type of game here.
