NBA Friday night and we will see the Portland Trailblazers travel to Philips Arena in Atlanta, Georgia to take on the Atlanta Hawks. The game has a start time of 7:30 pm (Eastern) and will be televised locally. Analysis:  The Portland Trailblazers are off a hard fought 99-94 road loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday night in a game that the Cavs were without Lebron. The Blazers are struggling as they have won just 2 of their last 8 games, but still the lead the Northwest Division with a 32-14 record. Portland has gone 13-6-1 ATS in their last 20 when their opponent scores 100 points or more in their previous game, but just 6-13 ATS in their last 19 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600. The Blazers have been a very good offensive squad this year, ranking 8th in scoring (102.8 ppg), 18th in shooting, 6th in 3 point shooting and 1st in FT shooting. Defensively the blazers have been very good as well as they come in ranked 7th in points allowed (97.2 ppg), 3rd in defensive FG% and 1st in 3 point defense.   

The Atlanta Hawks come in having won their last 17 games in a row. The winning streak has them at 38-8 on the year, which is the 2nd best record in the NBA. The Hawks are 21-3 at home and lead the Southeast Division by 7.5 games over Washington. Atlanta has gone 11-1 ATS in their last 12 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600 and 23-6 ATS in their last 29 after scoring 100 points or more in their previous game. The Hawks have been a solid offensive squad this year, ranking 6th in scoring (103.6 ppg), 4th in shooting, 1st in 3 point shooting and 8th in FT shooting. Defensively the Hawks have been very good as they come in ranked 1st in points allowed (96.3 ppg), 4th in defensive FG% and 5th in 3 point defense.   

Pick:  Going with the Hawks in this one. Portland is struggling right now and and the Hawks come in off BB spread losses, which are the only 2 ATS losses that they have had in their last 17 games. This team has been an ATS machine this year and they are 4-0 ATS ATS as a favorite of 6-6.5.  Portland is just not playing to the level of the Hawks right now and I don't see them hanging in this one for the full 4 quarters.
