The Montreal Canadiens and Boston Bruins will meet up in Game 5 of their Second Round NHL Playoffs series tonight. The game is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on the NBC Sports Network.
This series, between teams that obviously don't like each other, is facing a major moment tonight in the swing Game 5. Each team has won on the other's home ice in the four game, with Boston earning a 1-0 victory over the Canadiens in overtime in Game 4.
Carey Price has played well for the Canadiens to this point, who have only lost twice in the post season after sweeping the Tampa Bay Lightning in the opening round. But he's going to have to be a dominant player in between the posts tonight. Boston was an amazing team in home games this season, winning 31 times.
Matt Fraser has helped the Bruins already. He just got called up by Boston and wound up scoring the game-winner to help keep the Bruins season alive. That's a lot of pressure on a rookie to keep that kind of play up, but he's going to have to fill in as another option for the Bs in this series.
Montreal has been scoring a lot of goals this playoffs and they had 11 tallies through three games against the Bruins. Then they got shut out in Game 4 when Tuukka Rask made 33 saves for the Bruins.
Tonight we like a physical game between these two teams that can score goals but also can play well on the defensive end. We'll take the home team.
