The Arizona Cardinals are hosting the Dallas Cowboys tonight on Monday Night Football. The game is scheduled for an 8:30 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on ESPN. The NFL Odds for the game have the Cowboys favored by a field goal to pick up the win.

Both teams are 1-1 entering tonight’s contest. The Cardinals are playing their first home game of the season here, but the previous two games have been indoors as well in a loss at Detroit and last week a victory in Indianapolis.

Dallas looked very strong in the season opener by beating the Giants. They followed that up by getting beat up at Denver last week, a game where Ezekiel Elliott had nine carries for eight yards. Dallas ran the football for only 40 yards in that game, Dak Prescott threw fifty (50!) times and was picked off twice.

Clearly Dallas is not a team built to line up and throw it around the yard. The Cowboys want to line up, run the rock and get Elliott going.

The Cardinals have their own running game problems as David Johnson is out for a good amount of time. Chris Johnson, veteran back, will be handling the running game duties and he’s not nearly as explosive as he used to be.

Either team falling to 1-2 in the NFC could be bad.
