Atlanta Hawks vs Brooklyn Nets NBA Playoff Betting Odds Game 4 Free Pick

Monday night NBA Playoff action and I will have a free pick in game 4 between the Atlanta Hawks and the Brooklyn Nets, which will take place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. The game has a start time of 3:00 pm (Eastern) and will be televised on TNT. Current Vegas betting odds have the Hawks listed as 4 point favorites, while the total is set at 195.5.

Analysis: The Atlanta Hawks are the top seed in the East but they have had a few issues with the 8th place Nets so far. The Hawks did win both games at home, but neither were easy and then on Saturday they fell to the Nets by a score of 91-83. The The Hawks are now 0-3 ATS in this series after going 50-30-2 ATS during the regular season. Atlanta has gone 25-17 on the road this year. Atlanta is 20-6 ATS in their last 26 Monday games, but just 3-7-1 ATS in their last 11 road games vs. a team with a losing home record. The Hawks scored 101.6 ppg on 45.6% shooting overall and 37.8% shooting from long range on the road this year. Defensively they allowed 99.2 ppg on 44.1% shooting overall and 35% shooting from long range away from home this year.

The Brooklyn Nets did get into the playoffs on the last day of the regular season and have really played hard in their matchup vs top ranked Atlanta. The Nets have not played like an 8 seed as they covered both games in Atlanta and then by them by 8 at home on Saturday. Brooklyn is still just 20-22 at home this year. The Nets have gone 14-3 ATS in their last 17 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600 and 7-2 ATS in their last 9 home games vs. a team with a winning road record. Brooklyn averaged 99 ppg on 44.9% shooting overall and 33.3% shooting from long range at home for the year. Defensively, at home, they allowed 101.3 ppg on 45.8% shooting overall and 36% shooting from long range.

Pick: The Nets got their win, now I feel that Atlanta will bounce back. THis team is much better than they have displayed vs this nets tea and I can't see them losing two in a row here. The Nets have played with heart, but at some point their lack of talent has to catch up with them. Remember they do have the worst record of any team in the playoffs and they struggled struggled down the stretch, but got the win when they needed it and made the playoffs on the last day of the season. The Hawks have to be embarrassed with their play in this series and I seay they put it all together with  nice 8 point plus win here.
