MLB Odds St Louis Cardinals vs Los Angeles Dodgers

Game 4 of the NLCS takes place tonight and we will see the Los Angeles Dodgers will take on the St Louis Cardinals at Chavez Ravine in Los Angeles. First pitch is scheduled for an 8:07 PM (Eastern) start time and the game will be televised on TBS.

Current Odds

St Louis            +126
Los Angeles      -136

Over/ Under: 7 -110

Analysis: Despite holding a 2-1 series lead over the Dodgers, the Cardinals are still having issues on offense, as they come in hitting just .134 for the series and they have scored just 1 run on 6 hits in their last 2 games. Carlos Beltran, who is 2 for 11 in this series, is batting .340 with a homer in 47 career at-bats against Nolasco, while Matt Holliday, hitless in 12 at-bats in the NLCS, is 12 for 26 with two home runs and three doubles. St. Louis will rely on righty Lance Lynn, who picked up the win in relief in Game 1. Lynn pitched two scoreless innings in that one after yielding five runs in just 4 1/3 innings in his Game 2 loss to the Pirates in the NLDS. Lynn is 0-2 with a 6.94 ERA in three career postseason starts.

Los Angeles got a huge lift before Monday's Game 3 with the news that Hanley Ramirez would start. Batting third in the lineup, Ramirez, who sat out Game 2 after being hit by a pitch in the ribs in the opener, singled in his first at-bat and drove in the final run with a hit in the eighth inning in the Dodgers' 3-0 win. Ramirez is batting .455 with seven RBIs in the playoffs. Yasiel Puig ended an 0-for-11 skid with an RBI triple and Adrian Gonzalez halted a 1-for-17 slump with an RBI double in Game 3. Ricky Nolasco was terrific after being traded to the Dodgers from Miami in early July and was 8-1 with a 2.07 ERA in his first 12 starts. However, he was winless over his final four starts and allowed 19 runs over 12 innings in his last three outings of the year. Ricky is 3-4 with a 3.84 ERA lifetime against the Cardinals.

Pick: Going with the Dodgers in this one. The Dodgers really played inspired ball last night at home and I expect the same tonight. Lance Lynn has not been a very good Post season pitcher, going 0-2 with a 6.94 ERA in three post season starts and he is facing an LA offense this is healthier and has done well at home this year. The Cards offense comes in struggling mightily as they have hit just .134 in their first 3 games of the series and may be without Freese for this one.  Ricky Nolasco did not have a good end to the year But he was decent in this park this year, with a 7-7 mark and a 3.70 ERA, while Lynn was 6-7 with a 5.15 ERA on the road. The Cards still can't hit and the Dodgers are starting t. LA has the edge on the mound and at home and I say they even the series after tonight.
