Mississippi State Bulldogs at LSU Tigers College Football Odds

LSU Tigers vs. Mississippi State Bulldogs Complete Game Preview

The LSU Tigers welcome in the Mississippi State Bulldogs in college football action on Saturday. LSU, ranked eighth in the country, is taking on a Bulldog team that many believe can be a special team this season. The college football odds have the Tigers favored to get it done.

The eighth-ranked LSU Tigers welcome in the Mississippi State Bulldogs in an SEC college football battle on Saturday. The game is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on ESPN. Currently the odds for the game have the Tigers favored at home to pick up the win.

LSU has absolutely dominated this series, winning 20 of the last 21 games between the schools, including the last 13 games. The Tigers have also been laying the wood against the number, sporting a record of 18-4 ATS against Mississippi State. They've also covered four straight. Last year saw the Tigers post 59 points

This is a night game, in Death Valley, where season's dreams go to die. Playing LSU on a Saturday night in the bayou is an absolute nightmare and Mississippi State is going to have some problems.

The Tigers are rested up and ready to go in this one. Last week they bruised up Louisiana-Monroe 31-0, allowing just 93 total yards to the Warhawks. They pitched back-to-back shutouts to Sam Houston State and ULM and have out-scored opponents 108-0 dating back to trailing Wisconsin 24-7 in the opening week of the season.

Mississippi State has been very solid ATS on the road, cashing five of their last six opportunities.

Zak Prescott is a dual-threat QB for the Bulldogs that is looking to lead his team to a win at LSU. He has no problem moving his feet and breaking off big chunks of yards for Mississippi State in addition to having the big arm. Yet, the LSU defense is going to cause him some problems.

The Tigers are playing their third straight game at home while the Bulldogs won their road opener last week at South Alabama. This will be by far the toughest opponent for Mississippi State this season and the defense for Les Miles is once again very solid.

The Bulldogs have averaged nearly 44 points per game this season. Against LSU that's nearly impossible. Look for the Tiger defense to play a major role in this contest while QB Anthony Jennings and the offense does what it needs to in order to get the win.
