The WAC proved a far stronger conference this season than most expected and San Jose State played a major role in that development as it finished with a 10-2 record.

Bowling Green finished short of 10 wins and it also placed second in the MAC’s East Division behind an 11-2 Kent State team; however, it did put together its best season since 2007.
The Falcons, after a 1-3 start, steamrolled their way through the remainder of their schedule, finishing on a 7-1 run with the school’s only loss coming against the aforementioned Golden Flashes.
