Memphis Tigers vs Cincinnati Bearcats Betting Odds, Free Pick

Sunday college basketball and we will see the Memphis Tigers travel to Fifth Third Arena to take on the Cincinnati Bearcats. The game has a start time of 12:00 pm (Eastern) and will be televised on CBS. Current Vegas betting odds have the Bearcats listed as 7 point favorites, while the total is set at 112.5.

Analysis: Memphis Tigers come in off a big 1 point road win over the UConn Huskies. Im not sure that win will help them get in the NCAA Tournament as they come in at just 18-12 overall and 10-7 in the AAC. Memphis has gone 7-3-1 ATS the last 11 in the series, but just 2-9 ATS in their last 11 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of greater than .600. The Tigers have been an average offensive team this year, ranking 182nd in scoring (67.2 ppg), 154th in shooting (43.8%), 210th in 3 point shooting (33.5%) and 250th in FT shooting (67.0%). Defensively the Tigers have been solid this year, ranking 66th in points allowed (62.1 ppg), 28th in defensive FG% (39.2%) and 15th in 3 point defense (29.5%).

The Cincinnati Bearcats have won 4 games in a row, including big road wins over Tulane and Tulsa in their last 2 games. Cincinnati is now a solid 21-9 on the year, including 14-3 at home and 12-5 in the AAC. Cincy has gone just 1-4 ATS in their last 5 home games vs. a team with a winning road record and 8-33 ATS in their last 41 Sunday games. The Bearcats have been a very poor offensive team, as they come in ranked 301st in scoring (62.2 ppg), 92nd in shooting (45.2%), 232nd in 3 point shooting (33.0%) and 257th in FT shooting (66.8%). Defensively the Bearcats have been very good this year, ranking 6th in points allowed (54.9 ppg), 20th in defensive FG% (38.7%) and 109th in 3 point defense (32.9%).

Pick: Going with the Over in this one. I have a gut feeling here. This game means allot to both teams and that should lead to a fouling game at the end, or we could even see OT. Both teams have been very good on defense this year, but I see the offenses having some luck here. Memphis comes in averaging 66.7 ppg in their last 5 games, while the Bearcats have averaged 64.4 ppg in their last 5. Cincy home games have been low scoring this year, but still their last 7 AAC home game have put up 125.2 ppg, with just one of those games failing to put up more than 116 ppg. Memphis road games have averaged 123.5 ppg, while their last 5 overall have put up 132.7. Call it a hunch, but i see this one approaching 120 points.
