Marshall Thundering Herd 2013 College Football Predictions and Schedule

It has been a number of years since Marshall football made any noise, but if preseason prognostications are correct, the Thundering Herd will do just that this fall. 2013 College Football Predictions at offshore bookmaker 5Dimes have Marshall listed as a +175 co-favorite to win Conference USA's East Division and it is a third choice to win the 2013 Conference USA Championship at +370 odds ($100 wins $370). The Thundering Herd's regular season win total is set at 9.5 games and they are presently favored to finished Under that number at -180 odds ($180 wins $100).

Marshall's 2013 schedule is by no means a patsy, but it hardly qualifies as difficult either. Non-conference road meetings with Ohio and Virginia Tech represent major challenges, but the Herd's conference road slate is more than manageable. Outside of a November trip to Tulsa, Marshall has what appears to be smooth away sailing with Florida Atlantic, Middle Tennessee, and FIU being its other road stops.

Marshall's home schedule looks much the same with a November 29th showdown against East Carolina being the biggest test for the offensive oriented Herd (averaged 40.9 points per game last season).

Marshall Odds to win the 2014 BCS National Championship +990000
