The Major League Baseball season continue this evening with a game taking place between the Washington Nationals and the Philadelphia Phillies. The game is scheduled for a 6:40 p.m. start time and it will be televised live on MLB.tv this evening. Currently the MLB Odds for the game have the Phillies listed as a really strong favorite to pick up the win in this one at home.

Not a ton of runs expected tonight in this one. Zack Wheeler (4-3, 2.53) has been strong this season for the Phillies and his numbers at home have been even better. In five starts he sports a 1.44 ERA over better than 31 innings on the mound, he's struck out 44 hitters in that time as well. I like his ability to keep the ball in the yard as well, yielding just one homer at home. His home/road splits certainly favor him in Philadelphia and I expect him to be money here tonight for the Phillies.
Jake Irvin (2-3, 3.55) isn't bad for Washington. But I like Philly's lineup here against him, even though Irvin has been better on the road so far this season in two more starts than at home. Washington is also struggling at the plate, being shutout twice in a row by the White Sox and scoring just 10 runs the last five games (six coming in one game).
Philly is just better right now.
