Major League Baseball Seattle Mariners at Cleveland Indians Start Time, Odds, Free Pick

The Seattle Mariners take on the Cleveland Indians today on Major League Baseball action. The game is scheduled for a 12:10 p.m. start time and it will be televised live on MLB.tv. Currently the betting odds for the game have the Indians as a favorite here at home to pick up the win.

The early get-away day between Seattle and Cleveland. The Indians were supposed to contend for an American League Central title this year, but they currently find themselves in last place, four games under the .500 mark and nearly eight games outside of first place. Certainly there's a lot of season left and the Indians could make a nice charge at some point, but they are just 5-5 the last 10 games overall.

Shawn Marcum gets the ball today for the Indians. The journeyman is 2-1 this season for Cleveland, posting a 5.19 ERA in five starts. Marcum surrendered seven earned runs against Texas and gave up three to Baltimore in his last outing; he's thrown only 26 innings all season. The 7.07 ERA for Marcum at Progressive Field is a bit alarming, having given up 11 earned runs in just 14 innings. Opponents are hitting .283 against him in that park.

Current Mariners own a .313 average against him in 67 at bats, Nelson Cruz and Robinson Cano have both homered against him.

Seattle counters with J.A. Happ, who has had a nice season to date. Happ finds himself at 3-1 for the year with a 3.31 ERA in 11 starts. Happ allowed six earned runs in a loss at Houston last month, the high water mark for him all season. Since that start he's given up just 11 earned runs in five starts. He's only earned one decision in that time, though, a win over Oakland back in May.

Current Indians are hitting .235 against him in 68 at bats. Ryan Raburn and David Murphy both own home runs. Brandon Moss has reached base safely in four of six appearances.

Seattle is going for the sweep here, having won the opening two games of the series. That certainly doesn't look good for Cleveland, but the Indians are just 11-18 in home games. Seattle is 14-13 in road games.

With Happ throwing well, look for Seattle to get a win here as they head out of town.

Movie Betting and Winning in the WNBA

According to pro handicapper Steve Fezzik, you don't even need to watch WNBA games to successfully bet the sport. He tells fellow handicapper Teddy Covers that the sportsbooks simply don't spend enough time setting good lines on the sport, so just following injury reports, like the one with top player Diana Taurasi of the Phoenix Mercury, will tell you what you need to know. Yes, the betting limits for WNBA are low, but the bright side to that is the wise guys leave WNBA alone, giving smaller stakes bettors more opportunities to succeed.
