Major League Baseball Odds New York Mets vs Milwaukee Brewers

5 Contenders Who Could Most Benefit from Yovani Gallardo Trade Deadline Deal

The second game between the New York Mets and Milwaukee Brewers takes place tonight. The game is scheduled for an 8:10 p.m. start time and it will be televised live on MLB.tv. Currently the Major League Baseball Odds for the game have the Brewers favored to get the win in this one.

Milwaukee picked up a 9-1 win last night over the Mets, picking up yet another win in their own stadium. They've got 29 there so far this season and are looking to stock pile some more. The Mets, on the other hand, are a very terrible team on the road.

Tonight we have a solid pitching matchup with the Mets sending Zach Wheeler out and Milwaukee going with Yovani Gallardo. Both guys have pretty close numbers with five wins each and ERAs under 3.80 for the year.

Gallardo has been inconsistent on the mound this year. He had a very good four-game stretch not so long ago, but has gone 0-1 with a 6.17 ERA in his last four starts overall.

Wheeler has been pretty solid lately for the Mets. He's 2-0 with a 1.42 ERA in his last four starts overall, not getting the best run support. Tonight he's going to have to get some runs in order to keep up with the Brewers. Wheeler, though, has been pitching very solid on the road this season. In his last six outings away from home he has a 1.66 ERA and has sported a 2-1 record in those games.

But with guys like Ryan Braun, Khris Davis and Carlos Gomez on the Brewers, Wheeler is going to have to pitch a masterful game to keep his club in this one. Milwaukee is looking to continue on this four-game winning streak and we think they are able to get it done tonight.

Free Pick: Milwaukee 8, New York Mets 3
