The Major League Baseball season continues this evening with a game between the Detroit Tigers and the Tampa Bay Rays. The game is scheduled for a 6:50 p.m. start time and it will be televised live on MLB.tv. Currently the MLB odds for the game have the Tigers favored to pick up the victory in this one on the road.

The Tigers have had a decent start to the season, mainly in part to having one of the better pitching staffs in the league. The offense still struggles as they've out-scored opponents by just a single run so far this season.
But, as the season moves along, Detroit should get better offensively. Maybe. Tonight they give the ball to Tarik Skubal (2-0, 2.28), who is clearly their best starter. It's a small sample size, but current Rays have awful numbers against him, collecting just six hits in 37 at bats.
Detroit has been solid in road games this year, winning eight of 11. That, and pitching, have been weaknesses for Detroit in recent years, but this year both have gotten off to solid starts. Tampa Bay is a solid team itself, but I'm banking on Skubal being able to put together another solid start for the Tigers here.
