Major League Baseball Detroit Tigers at Oakland Athletics Start Time, Odds, Free Pick

The Oakland Athletics welcome in the Detroit Tigers in Major League Baseball action today. The game is is scheduled for a 10:05 p.m. start time and it will be televised live on and locally in both markets. Currently the odds for the game have the Tigers listed as a small favorite to pick up the win on the road.

Oakland picked up a big win yesterday over the Tigers, claiming a 4-0 over the Tigers on Memorial Day. Now the Athletics look to take another win from Detroit tonight when they face David Price.

Detroit has been very good in starts made by Price this season, piling up a record of 8-1 in his nine starts. Price has accounted for a record of only 3-1 during that time with nine no decisions. Price's ERA of 3.32 in 59 2/3 innings has done well for the Tigers and they've won all four of his starts on the road. Price has thrown at least 6 1/3 innings in each of his last five starts, including a complete game win at Kansas City back on May 2, which was his last victory of the season.

Current Athletics own an average of just .210 in 81 plate appearances with no one having any real success with minimal times against him.

Oakland will send Jesse Chavez to the mound. He's got a great ERA of just 2.89 this season, but his record of just 1-4 on the campaign. Oakland has also won only three times in his 10 appearances on the mound. Detroit hitters are .298 against him in 57 at bats, Miguel Cabrera has homered against him.

Detroit has been pretty good in road games this season, it would be tough for them to lose twice in a row, especially with Price on the mound.

Free Pick: Tigers

Movie NFL Free Pick: Green Bay Packers at Chicago Bears

According to professional sports bettor Steve Fezzik, the early bird can catch a profitable worm if they put money down on Green Bay's opening week showing against the Chicago Bears. With the line currently at -4.5 at most Vegas sports books, Fezzik predicts it will move to -6.5 come game day, as no one is going to be betting on the Jay Cutler-helmed Bears, so the money will pour in on Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers. With that being the case, time strike early while the iron is hot.
