The 2015 Belmont Stakes Contenders all have a potential to win the race on Saturday as only eight horses will run in the prestigious event. With only eight horses running in the final race for the Triple Crown, Madefromlucky is one that could upset American Pharoah. The Madefromlucky Belmont Stakes Betting Odds are listed at 16-1 this morning.
Jockey Javier Castellano and trainer Todd Pletcher team up once again with Madefromlucky in this race. This is the fifth time for this duo — which has combined to take second place twice with Stay Thirsty in 2011 and Commissioner in 2014.
Madefromlucky did not run in the Kentucky Derby after finishing well behind American Pharoah in the Arkansas Derby and the Rebel Stakes. The horse did pick up a victory at the Peter Pan, which is run at Belmont Park, which could give Madefromlucky an advantage in this one.
Last year Tonalist won the Peter Pan and also went on to win the Belmont Stakes.

Beating the Belmont for Beginners
Steve Fezzik and Teddy Covers are pro bettors, but both admit they aren't much for horse racing betting. They say that isn't a requirement to bet the Belmont though. Since American Pharoah is going for the Triple Crown, something we haven't seen since Affirmed in 1978, simply bet the field to win and you'll succeed. There have been 12 Triple Crown Contenders in the past 20 years and none of them have won, so the guys are more than comfortable to take the "no-win" bet on American Pharoah. Avoid the media hype about the special horse, there are too many horse "assassins" in the field and history shows it is a bad bet.
