LSU Tigers 2014 BCS Title Odds

LSU
won double digit games for a third consecutive season in 2012, but its 10-3 campaign was a disappointment in some regard. The Tigers lost 6-14 at Florida and Alabama topped them 21-17 in Deaf Valley, which ensured their second fiddle status in the SEC's West Division. LSU also lost its final game of the season as Clemson pulled off a 25-24 upset (LSU was a six point favorite) in the Chick-fil-A Bowl. If the odds makers at 5Dimes are correct, the Tigers may be in for more of the same this year. While the offshore bookmaker is far from down on Les Miles' crew (favored to win Over 8.5 games at -150), they did not envision an SEC West or SEC title landing in Baton Rouge. LSU is drawing +1250 odds to win the conference ($100 wins $1250) and +575 odds to finish atop the division, making it a third pick after Alabama and Texas A&M. 5Dimes 2014 BCS Title Odds have the Tigers listed at +1900 odds to win the national championship.

The Golden Nugget is also anticipating another two or three loss season for the Tigers. The Las Vegas bookmaker released its College Football Games of the Year in early June and nine LSU games showed up on the list. The Tigers are favored against TCU, Auburn, Mississippi State, Florida, Texas A&M, and Arkansas, but they are lined as a dog in road meetings with Georgia, Mississippi, and Alabama.
