The Washington Redskins wrap up a three game home stand on Sunday when they welcome the reeling Kansas City Chiefs to Landover, Maryland. This weekend's meeting between the Redskins and Chiefs is scheduled to kickoff at 1:00pm ET at FedEX Field; the game will be broadcast live on CBS. The Chiefs are 9-3 on the season, but they are in a bit of disarray at the moment. Kansas City dropped its third straight game on Sunday, losing 28-35 to the Broncos at Arrowhead Stadium, which, for all practical purposes, gave the AFC West title to Denver.

The Chiefs once vaunted defense has been a shell of its former self over the last three weeks, allowing an average of 32 points per game after giving up no more than 17 points in its first nine games.

Because of its impressive 9-0 run Kansas City is not sweating a postseason berth (at least not yet), but if it does not figure out a way to correct a few things, it will be a short lived playoffs for Andy Reid's squad.

Perhaps, the Redskins are exactly what the Chiefs need to get back on track. Washington has been a disappointment from the jump, but it has reached new lows of late.

Robert Griffin III and his cohorts ride a four game losing streak into this weekend's game and they are 0-2 in their last two games at FedEX Field, falling to the 49ers and Giants by a combined score of 51-23.

The Redskins did out-gain the Giants 323 yards to 286 on Sunday, but they were 5-of-16 on third down and averaged a meager 4.8 yards per play for the game.

Washington's floundering offense should be a reprieve for the scuffling Chiefs, who have faced Peyton Manning and the Broncos twice and a solid Chargers offense in their last three games.

Notable Trends: Teams playing as an away favorite off back to back division losses are 6-0 both straight up and against the spread since the 2005 season.
