The Golden State Warriors are in the Hoosier State tonight for a meeting with the surging Indiana Pacers. This evening’s showdown between the Warriors and Pacers has a scheduled start time of 7:00pm; the game can be seen live on Fox Sports Midwest. NBA Odds have the hosting Pacers listed as a -8 against the spread favorite and the Over/Under set at 197 points. Golden State is drawing +305 moneyline odds ($100 wins $305) to register its 34th win of the season.
Golden State endured a horrible run leading up to the All-Star Game as it lost five straight games (four on the road) to bring its record to 30-22. The Warriors opened their second half schedule with another loss, a 115-101 setback opposite the Jazz in Utah, but they have since rediscovered their winning ways.
Golden State has won its last three games, topping the Suns (108-98) and Spurs (107-110 OT) at the ORACLE Arena before opening its current five game road swing with a 100-99 win over the Timberwolves on Sunday.
Indiana enters this evening’s contest playing even better basketball, though. The Pacers, who are 35-21 overall, won their fourth straight game on Saturday with a 90-72 destruction of the Pistons in Detroit. That victory was preceded by double digit home wins over the Bobcats (101-77), Knicks (125-91), and Pistons (114-82).
Indiana did drop a December 1st meeting with the Warriors in Oakland, falling 103-92, but it had won three in a row against Golden State prior to that contest. The Pacers are also 7-1 in their last eight games against the Warriors in Indiana (margin of victory = 13.1 points per game).
Notable Trends: The Warriors are 4-0 both straight up and against the spread in their last four games as a road dog with a total between 195 and 200 points (Over was 4-0 in those games).
Golden State Warriors vs Indiana Pacers NBA Odds:
Golden State Warriors +8 (-110), Over 197 (-110), +305 (Moneyline)
Indiana Pacers -8 (-110), Under 197 (-110), -370 (Moneyline)
