The Cincinnati Bearcats are on the road in college football action Friday night, taking on the South Florida Bulls. The game is scheduled for an 8:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on the CBS Sports Network. Currently the betting odds for the game have the Bearcats favored by a slim margin on the road.

Cincinnati and South Florida are both 6-4 on the season, they are both looking up at Temple in the American East Division standings. The Owls are 5-1 in conference this season, but their lone loss on the season came to the Bulls last game.

Marlon Mack had a huge game in that victory, scoring twice on 21 carries while pounding the Owls for 230 yards. He also caught a touchdown pass as well as the Bulls proved they are headed in the right direction as a program.

The Bearcats have been a solid offensive team all year, Cincinnati has been averaging just under 39 points per game. Even in their losses the Bearcats have been able to score an average of 31.5 points per game, giving them a shot in each contest when they take the field. South Florida proved last week they can put up points, the 44 the Bulls hung on Temple was the most in five weeks.

Neither defense is great and Cincinnati QB Gunner Kiel has returned from his concussion putting up big numbers. Kiel has completed almost 69 percent of his passes in the four games back; he’s also thrown for 13 touchdowns in that time as well. The Bearcats came up short by just a field goal against Houston on the road or they would be looking at a four-game win streak heading into tonight.

Either way, the Bearcats will put up points against South Florida. Mack probably won’t have a second straight monster game, but if he does the Bulls will win.
