It has been a while since Florida State enjoyed national prominence, but the program appears to be on the verge of it, once again, after posting a 19-8 record over the past two seasons. The odds makers certainly see the Seminoles returning to power as the latest 2012 College Football Predictions have the team favored to win Over 10 games and the ACC Championship at -125 and -195 odds respectively. 2013 BCS Odds also feature FSU prominently; the Seminoles are one of the favorites to bring home the national title, presently drawing +600 odds to win the national championship game.

Head Coach Jimbo Fisher should be no stranger to big expectations as his team was saddled with them last season after finishing up the previous campaign with a 10-4 record. The Seminoles caved under the pressure, though, failing to win the division and conference, as most anticipated, thanks to a three game losing streak early in the season.

Florida State went on to post nine wins, but its four losses were at least two more than the betting public thought it would suffer. Could the Seminoles be in for another fall this season? Answer: probably not.

FSU’s schedule features a host of poor to mediocre teams (i.e. Murray St., Savannah St., Wake Forest, Boston College, NC State, Duke, etc.) and the odds makers have the school favored against its three biggest threats, Clemson (-10.5), Virginia Tech (-3), and Florida (-6.5).
