The Detroit Pistons and Cleveland Cavaliers continue to play out the string, but they will do so tonight against one another. This evening’s clash between the Pistons and Cavaliers, which takes place at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, has a scheduled start time of 7:00pm ET. The latest NBA Odds have the hosting Cavs listed as a -1 against the spread favorite and the Over/Under set at 197.5 points.
The Pistons have been the bane of the Cavaliers existence of late, taking the last five meetings with Cleveland, including three this season.
Despite Detroit’s recent success opposite the Cavs, the odds makers are leaning Cleveland’s way (albeit slightly) tonight. Kyrie Irving’s presence in the Cavs lineup obviously plays a part in this evening’s line.
Irving missed eight games between March 15th and April 1st; Cleveland posted a 0-8 record in those games. The Duke product has played in the team’s last four games, though, helping it to a 2-2 record with wins over Boston and Orlando.
Detroit is coming off a huge home win over Chicago as it downed the Bulls 99-85 on Sunday; however, it had won just two of its previous 17 games.
The Pistons, a 10-29 road team, are also an unenviable 2-10 in their last 12 away games. Detroit beat the Bobcats 92-91 in Charlotte on March 23rd and it topped the Raptors 108-98 in Toronto on April 1st; it lost the other road games in that stretch by an average of 13.4 points per contest.
Detroit Pistons vs Cleveland Cavaliers NBA Odds:
Detroit Pistons +1 (-110), Over 197.5 (-110)
Cleveland Cavaliers -1 (-110), Under 197.5 (-110)
