The Denver Broncos slip up last Thursday at Mile High surprised many but they appear certain, at least based upon the latest NFL Odds from 5Dimes, to get back on track tomorrow afternoon. Peyton Manning and company are favored by 11.5 points in their Sunday showdown with the Houston Texans. The two AFC rivals are scheduled to take the field at Reliant Stadium at 1:00pm ET; their meeting will be carried live on CBS.

The Broncos went into last Thursday's meeting with the Chargers holding onto the top spot in the AFC's overall standings, but they put their status in serious jeopardy when they unexpectedly fell to San Diego.

Fortunately for Denver, it was bailed out over the weekend when New England and Cincinnati both suffered losses to division rivals as well. The Broncos were not as fortunate on the divisional front as the Chiefs destroyed Oakland to move into a first place tie in the AFC West.

Denver, having defeated Kansas City twice this season, still holds the tie breaker, though. However, the Broncos are now facing a possible 'win out' scenario in order to secure both their division and the conference.

Nonetheless, that should not be an issue for Peyton Manning and company with the Texans and Raiders on tap.

Houston rides a 12 game losing streak into this weekend's game; however, despite its inability to get over the hump, it has remained competitive, particularly at home.

The Texans, who are coming off back to back road losses, have dropped their last four games at Reliant Stadium by an average of 4.5 points per contest. Further, only one of Houston's last eight losses has come by more than seven points.

Notable Trends: The Texans are 5-2 straight up and 6-1 against the spread in their last seven games as a home underdog in the month of December.
