America’s Team is not the odds maker’s team, not according to the latest Dallas Cowboys 2012 NFL Predictions and Super Bowl Odds anyway. The Pokes are a Super Bowl long shot (though not as long as some) at 20-1 odds; however, Sportsbook.ag does see the team improving on last season’s eight wins. The offshore book, which also envisions Dallas as a potential NFC East contender at +250 odds, has the Cowboys favored, at -135 odds, to win Over 8.5 games.
Most pundits see the Cowboys moving further away from another Super Bowl run, but the team, after enduring an ugly 6-10 campaign in 2010, did, at least, restore its competitive image. Dallas closed out the season with an 8-8 record, but difficult losses to the Eagles and Giants over the final two weeks relegated the team to another postseason on the couch.
Unfortunately for the Cowboys and their ample fan base, Cantor Gaming, based upon its 2012 NFL regular season point spreads, is predicting another NFL Playoffs without Dallas. The Vegas based odds makers, which released lines for every NFL game through week 16, is, obviously, not as high on the Cowboys as Sportsbook.ag, listing Jerry Jones’ club as a favorite in just six games (Tampa Bay, Chicago, NY Giants, Cleveland, Washington, and Pittsburgh).
