The college football odds for the game have the Broncos listed as a big favorite to pick up the road win.
College Football Odds
Western Michigan -17
Total: 61 points
Western Michigan is the highest ranked non-Power 5 conference team and they are loving the attention. The Broncos are 8-0 and should have no issues winning tonight against a not-so-bad Ball State team that is just 4-4 on the campaign and is toward the bottom of the MAC West.
Ball State has dropped three of four overall. Each of those games were close as the three defeats came by a combined 20 points, but the Cardinals just don’t have enough firepower to overcome deficits.
Western Michigan averages almost 45 points per game, they rank sixth nationally. The Broncos have NFL players on the roster at skilled positions, which clearly sets them apart from the rest of the MAC.
Zach Terrell has thrown for 20 touchdowns on the year and just one interception. His favorite target is Corey Davis, he’s caught 49 passes (11 TDs) for an average of better than 15 yards per reception. Jarvion Franklin is a load coming out of the backfield and his 5.8 yards per carry will be a struggle for Ball State to stop.
Anything can happen in these crazy MAC games in the middle of the week, but Western Michigan is just that much better than everyone else in the conference.
