The Washington Huskies are hosting the Rutgers Scarlet Knights in college football action on Saturday. The game is scheduled for a 2:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised live on the Pac-12 Network. Currently the betting odds for the game have the Huskies favored by nearly four touchdowns to pick up the win.

The Rutgers Scarlet Knights are not good. Last year they won just four games, beating Norfolk State, Kansas, Indiana and Army, not exactly powerhouse programs. Rutgers gave up 35 points per game last season, this year they bring back seven starters on that defense which obviously is going to have to play better. Road games weren’t kind for the Scarlet Knights, going 2-4, but new coach Chris Ash is aiming to turn the program around and make a difference quickly.

Not this quick, though. Washington is loaded on offense with eight starters returning, including sophomores Jake Browning (QB) and Myles Gaskin (RB). Both are exceptional players that helped lead the Huskies to 31 points per game on average last year, a number they should be able to reach without problems here in this one.

Rutgers can say all the right things and look to change its culture but it’s going to take some time. Washington is ready to win now and they have a strong group looking to pile up wins.
