College Football Odds Indiana vs Ohio State

No. 3 Ohio State will look to preserve its current BCS ranking today when it faces the fading Indiana Hoosiers at the Horseshoe in Columbus. The Buckeyes and Hoosiers are scheduled to kickoff at 3:30pm ET on ABC. The latest Saturday College Football Odds from offshore bookmaker Sportsbook.ag have Ohio State listed as a -35.5 against the spread home favorite and the Over/Under set at 81 points.

The only team rooting harder for Oklahoma State this weekend than Ohio State will be Oklahoma State. The Buckeyes are presently third in the BCS standings, but should Baylor beat the Cowboys tomorrow night, it will almost certainly jump over Ohio State.

Other than pulling for Mike Gundy's squad, about the only thing the Buckeyes can do to possibly affect their precarious position is put an epic beat down on Indiana.

Given the results of Ohio State's last three games, it seems well aware of what it must do in order to curry favor with pollsters and computers alike. The Buckeyes, following their closer than anticipated win over Iowa in Columbus, defeated Penn State, Purdue, and Illinois by an average of 43.3 points per game while averaging 59.7 points per contest.

Earlier in the season Indiana appeared as though it may present more of a challenge to teams like Ohio State, but its play of late would suggest it is incapable of keeping pace with the Buckeyes.

The Hoosiers are 1-4 in their last five games and all four losses came by double digits. Indiana got thumped 28-42 by Michigan State, 47-63 by Michigan, and 39-42 by Minnesota, but Wisconsin was the first Big Ten team to really embarrass Kevin Wilson's squad.

The Badgers pounded the Hoosiers 51-3 at Camp Randall Stadium last Saturday after rolling up 676 total yards. Indiana's offense, which has been prolific at times this season, managed all of 14 first downs and 224 yards in the loss.

Is Ohio State capable of leveling a similar beating on Indiana? Probably, but the Hoosiers are not likely to turn in such a wretched performance in back to back weekends. Indiana is no where near an elite team, but it is something above a doormat as well.

Notable Trends: Ohio State is 13-0 in its last 13 games against Indiana, but the Hoosiers have covered the number in the last two meetings between the division rivals and they are 3-3 against the spread in their last six games in Columbus.

College Football Odds Indiana vs Ohio State:

Indiana Hoosiers +35.5 (-110), Over 81 (-110)

Ohio State Buckeyes -35.5 (-110), Under 81 (-110)
