College Football Missouri vs South Carolina Preview: Start Time, Odds and Free Pick

The Missouri Tigers will take to the road for their second SEC game as they face No. 7 South Carolina at Williams-Brice Stadium on Saturday (3:30pm ET start time, CBS). College Football Missouri vs South Carolina Odds are expecting a Gamecocks victory with the host team presently listed as a -10 against the spread favorite. Tomorrow’s game total is set at 49 points while Mizzou is drawing +300 moneyline odds to improve to 3-1 on the season.

South Carolina opened its season with a road meeting against SEC East rival Vanderbilt. The Gamecocks received a good scare from the Commodores as they needed a fourth quarter touchdown run from Marcus Lattimore to secure a 17-13 win.

Steve Spurrier’s troops have been in cruise control since dispatching Vandy, routing East Carolina and UAB by an average of 40.5 points per game. Things get serious again for the Gamecocks this weekend, though, with a game Tigers team in town.

Missouri did fall flat in its conference opener against Georgia, losing 41-20 in a game that was closer than the final score. The Tigers trailed by four points early in the fourth quarter, but two late turnovers deep in their own territory led to the lopsided score. Mizzou actually out-gained the Bulldogs, despite possessing the ball almost five fewer minutes.

While some may dismiss the Tigers chances, especially after last weekend’s quarterback brouhaha involving the injured James Franklin, Spurrier will not. Missouri has enough weapons on offense to challenge the Gamecocks defense and its defense is the best South Carolina has faced thus far.

Free Pick: Take Missouri +10. Missouri is 5-1 against the spread in its last six games as a road dog with a spread between 8 and 10.5 points while South Carolina is 0-3 against the number playing as an 8 to 10.5 point home favorite against an SEC opponent.

Missouri vs South Carolina Preview:

Missouri Tigers +10 (-110), Over 49 (-110), +300 (Moneyline)

South Carolina Gamecocks -10 (-110), Under 49 (-110), -360 (Moneyline)
