College Football Free Picks South Florida Bulls vs Central Florida Knights

College football on Friday night and we will see the South Florida Bulls travel to Orlando, Florida to take on the Central Florida Knights. The game has a start time of 8:00 pm (Eastern) and be will televised on ESPN. Current odds have Central Florida listed as 27.5 point favorites, while the total sits at 50.

Analysis: The Bulls are enduring a disappointing season that has featured four straight defeats entering this weekend, while they have gone 2-8 overall and 2-4 in the AAC. The Bulls have faced just two ranked teams this year and they were crushed by an 83-24 count in the two games. The Bulls have one of the worst offenses in the nations, coming in at 122nd in total offense and 120th in scoring offense, putting up just 13.9 ppg. QB Mike Whit has started 3 games for the Bulls this year throwing for 726 yards in those games, with 3 TD's to 7 INTs. The lone bright spot on this Bulls offense is wideout Andre Davis, who ranks fifth all-time at South Florida in both career receptions (109) and receiving yards (1,441). Defensively the Bulls are not all that bad as they rank 30th in yards allowed, but because their offense gives up short fields they have allowed 28.9 ppg.

There is plenty on the line for No. 19 Central Florida in this one, as a win here they can clinch a share of the American Athletic Conference title with a victory, plus it would also mark their first ever win against the Bulls. This game, which will be the 400th since the UCF program's inception in 1979, will also give the Knights a chance to reach double-digit victories for the second consecutive season and the third time in the past four years. Blake Bortles has thrown for 20 TDs with only 5 INTs this season and over the last two games he has recorded 739 passing yards with five scores and no picks. Central Florida also doesn't hurt itself with mistakes, as they have committed the fewest penalties in the AAC and have committed the ninth-fewest turnovers in the country. On the defensive side of the ball The Knights have been very good as they have allowed just 354.9 ypg and 20.2 ppg on the year.

Pick: Going to look to the Under in this game. The Bulls offense has been pathetic this year as they have averaged just 263.2 ypg and 13.9 ppg overall, including 249 ypg and 14 ppg on the road, With numbers like that would not expect a whole lot of offense from the Bulls in this one, especially vs a Knights defense that is 28th in total defense abd 19th in points allowed, allowing just 20.2 pg. At home the Knights have been even better defensively, allowing just 16.6 ppg. The UCF offense has been very good this year, but the USF defense has been no slouch, especially on the road, where they have allowed just 22 ppg. Two solid defenses in this game and only on team can score. I just don't expect more than 42 points in this one.
