The third-ranked Clemson Tigers are on the road in college football action tonight, taking on the Boston College Eagles. The game is scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on ESPN. The college football odds for the game have the Tigers listed as a huge favorite to pick up the win in this one.

Clemson showcased itself as a very strong team again last weekend, knocking off Louisville in Death Valley. The Tigers have been a Top 5 team but it seems like they are quietly avoiding a lot of the talk and flash this year, which is probably just fine for head coach Dabo Swinney and the Clemson squad.
Boston College is 3-2 on the season but both of those losses came in conference to Georgia Tech and Virginia Tech. The Eagles have dropped five straight to Clemson in the series, but they have struggled a bit in Chestnut Hill, winning just three times the last five appearances there with two of those wins coming by single digits.
Deshaun Watson has 14 touchdowns on the season, but it’s been his turning the football over that is puzzling. Watson has seven interceptions to date and at times has not looked as sharp inside the pocket. Last year he threw for 420 yards and three touchdowns against this BC team, but he also tossed a couple of picks as well.
The Tiger defense should be just fine against Patrick Towles and the Eagle offense, tough BC has shown some offensive success in beating up on three poor opponents. In ACC play, however, not so much as they were shutout by Virginia Tech a few weeks back.
Clemson has to avoid the letdown here. They’re coming off a huge win and now travel on a Friday night for a road conference game against an opponent who could make its season here. The stingy BC defense isn’t the same without Don Brown, but they are still solid.
