College Football Buffalo Bulls at Ohio Bobcats Start Time, Odds, Free Pick

Buffalo Bulls

The Ohio Bobcats welcome in the Buffalo Bulls in MAC college football action tonight. The game is scheduled for an 8:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on ESPNu. Currently the odds for the game have the Bobcats favored by more than a field goal in this one.

Both Buffalo and Ohio have struggled to this point in the season, both sitting under the .500 mark for the year. Ohio is 4-5 on the season with losses out of conference to Kentucky and Marshall, both of which came on the road. And once the Bobcats got into the conference slate it only got worse.

In three of their last four games overall Ohio has gotten beat pretty good. A pair of 18-point losses to Central Michigan and Bowling Green came before a slim win over Akron, which put the Bobcats at 2-2 in the conference slate. But last week, the Bobcats got drilled in Kalamazoo in a 42-21 loss to Western Michigan.

Can they rebound against an equally poor Bulls team? Buffalo has lost three games in a row to fall to 1-3 in the MAC, but all three contests were close. Defensively they aren't any good but the Bulls can move the football and put up 31 points per game.

Giving up 33 points to opponents per contest might be a problem, though. Playing a struggling offensive club like Ohio could help make their defense on just one night. Ohio scores just 19 points per game and has questionable play at quarterback.

Buffalo quarterback Joe Licata has put up some big numbers, but it hasn't led to any wins. Licata has thrown a pick in three straight games and is going to have to play well for the Bulls to have a chance.

The Bulls have won four of the last seven games in this series, but the home team has won 12 of the last 15 matchups overall. Ohio is laying more than a field goal here but they really struggle to score points, so laying any number at all is going to be uncomfortable. Honestly, it's tough to back either team in this one, but the home team has fared well in the series.

Free Pick: Ohio 24, Buffalo 20
