Another battle of Top 25 teams in college football action on Saturday will see the 19th-ranked Clemson Tigers take on the 22nd-ranked Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. Currently the College Football Betting Odds for the game have the Tigers favored by around a field goal to get the win.
Both Clemson and Georgia Tech have just two losses on the season and are looking to avoid a third in this game. The Tigers have battled some injuries this season but have played well since an overtime loss to No. 1 Florida State back in September. That loss to the Seminoles put Clemson at just 1-2 for the season but since then they've ripped off six straight victories, winning ugly and looking good at times as well. Their last game saw Clemson win on the road at Wake Forest by two touchdowns. That was an odd game for Clemson, which allowed the Demon Deacons only 119 yards of total offense, yet the Tigers were found in a close game.
Cole Stoudt threw for three touchdowns in that game and will be looking to have another big game in this one against the Yellow Jackets.
What will be tough for Clemson is having to stop the Georgia Tech offense. The Jackets run the ball all the time and have a very prolific attack, averaging 336 yards per game on the ground per game and nearly 39 points per game. The Jackets have won three straight games and are hoping Duke loses a couple of games in the ACC. Currently Georgia Tech sits with one more loss in the ACC at 5-2 and lost to Duke this season.
Georgia Tech has lost twice, once to Duke and once to North Carolina, by a combined 11 points. They know how to win and the loss to the Blue Devils is their only one on the season.
This should be a great battle between two solid teams. Clemson has won three of the last four in the series, but this one will be tough.
