College Football Betting Odds Cincinnati Bearcats vs Tulane Green Wave Free Pick

Week 10 college football and the Cincinnati Bearcats will travel to Benson Field in New Orleans, Louisiana to take on the Tulane Green Wave. The game has a start time of 8:00 pm (Eastern) and will be televised on ESPN 2. Current Vegas odds have the Cincinnati listed as 6.5 point favorites, while the total is set at 56.5.

Analysis:  The Cincinnati Bearcats come in having won 2 in a row to put their record a game over .500 at 4-3. They are also 2-1 within the AAC Conference, but just 1-2 on the road so far. The Bearcats are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 Friday games, but also just 6-13-1 ATS in their last 20 road games vs. a team with a losing home record. Cincinnati has been a very good offensive team this year, ranking 30th in total yards, 12th in passing, 92nd in rushing and 36th in scoring (34.3 ppg). The defense has not been so good for this team, as they come in ranked 118th in yards allowed, 111th vs the pass, 111th vs the run and 95th in points allowed (32.0 ppg).

The Tulane Green Wave come in with a 2-5 mark on the year that includes a 2-1 mark at home and a 1-2 mark within the American Athletic Conference. The Green Wave are 9-0 ATS in their last 9 games in October, 6-1 ATS in their last 7 home games, but also 1-6 ATS in their last 7 home games vs. a team with a winning road record and 0-6 ATS in their last 6 Friday games. Tulane has not been a very good offensive team this year, ranking 107th in total yards, 100th in passing, 66th in rushing and 119th in scoring (18.7 ppg). On the defensive side of the ball they have been average at best, ranking 49th in total yards allowed, 30th vs the pass, 69th vs the run and 79th in points allowed (28.1 ppg).

Pick: I will look at the Under in this game. Tulane can’t score right now as they have averaged just 11 ppg in their last 4 games, and this Cincinnati defense is coming around, having allowed just 20 total points in their last 2 games. The Bearcats have a weak run defense and that is where Tulane will look to attack them, which will keep the Cincinnati offense off the field and eat clock. That Bearcats offense is high powered for sure, but Tulane has allowed just 20.3 ppg at home this year and just 18 ppg in their last 3 games overall. I think their defense can slow the Bearcats down here enough to keep this game in 40’s.
