The Wichita State Shockers are hosting the Temple Owls in college basketball action tonight. The game is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on ESPN2. The college basketball odds for the game have the Shockers listed as double-digit favorites to pick up the victory here.

At one point Wichita State looked like a Final Four team earlier this year. Now the Shockers have dropped three games in conference play and have little shot to win the conference as Cincinnati isn’t going to be dropping the remainder of its games.

The Shockers and Bearcats play twice down the stretch, but Wichita would have to win both of those contests and hope Cincinnati slips up somewhere else. Landry Shamet and Shaq Morris will cause problems for Temple.

The Owls are not a team that scores a lot of points, averaging just under 70 per game. But in the last few weeks Temple has really played some great basketball, winning five straight overall — including a 2-point win at home over these Shockers. Temple forced 16 turnovers in that game and was able to get out with the overtime win.

The Shockers have revenge here and they’re playing at home, only Oklahoma and SMU have won at Wichita this season.
