College Basketball Stanford Cardinal vs Oregon Ducks Start Time, Odds, Free PIck

College Basketball on Sunday afternoon and we will see the Stanford Cardinal travel to Eugene, Oregon to take on the Oregon Ducks. The game has a start time of 5:00 pm (Eastern) and will be televised on Fox Sports 1. Current odds have Oregon listed as 6.5 point favorites, while the total sits at 158.5.

Analysis: Stanford is coming off a disappointing loss, as it fell flat in an 81-72 setback on the road against Oregon State. The Cardinal have now lost three of their last four games, and are at 9-5 overall and 0-2 in the Pac-12. The Cardinal comes in averaging a solid 76.3 ppg and are lead by Chasson Randle, who id one of the better scorers in the Pac-12, ranking 4th in scoring (19.2) while also shooting 50.6% from the field. Randle does provided punch in the backcourt, while Dwight Powell (14.3 ppg, 7.6 rpg) and Josh Huestis (11.1 ppg, 8.1 rpg, 2.2 bpg) form an effective duo up front. Stanford leads the all-time series 90-48 after the teams split two games last season.

Oregon had won its first nine games at home this season before being dominated in a 96-83 loss to California a few days back. That was the Ducks second loss in a row and they are now 13-2 overall and 2-1 in league play, and they have a three-game road trip looming. Oregon ranks third in the country in scoring (88.9 ppg), while sitting 21st in field goal percentage (49%). The leader of the offense is Joseph Young, who ranks third in the Pac-12 in scoring at 19.7 ppg, while Damyean Dotson (11.5 ppg) and Johnathan Loyd (9.3 ppg, 6.2 apg) round out a solid backcourt trio. Mike Moser (14 ppg, 7.8 rpg) continues to be the team's primary option down low.

Pick: We will be taking the Under in this one. The Ducks have played a ton of high scoring games this year, but Stanford does not play the uptempo game like they want and should find a way to slow the game down. Stanford does play solid defense as they allow just 69.8 ppg on 40.3% shooting overall, while on the road they have allowed 63 ppg on 39.7% shooting. The Ducks don't play great defense, but they do allow just 42.3% shooting at home. The Cardinal cannot afford to get into a run and gun game if they hope to win this one. I know that normally the home team dictates pace, but I feel that Stanford will slow it down enough to get the UNDER here.
