College Basketball North Carolina Tar Heels at Virginia Cavaliers Start Time, Betting Odds, Free Pick

The Virginia Cavaliers are hosting the North Carolina Tar Heels in college basketball action tonight. The game is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on ESPN. The college basketball odds for the game have the Tar Heels favored by a bucket on the road.

North Carolina -3
Total: 132 points

Virginia got a much-needed win at NC State on Saturday, ending a skid of four straight losses by the Cavaliers where they really struggled to score points. Now they take on a Carolina team tonight that has no problems putting points on the board, averaging better than 86 per contest to rank inside the Top 10 nationally.

If this game is a slower-paced, half-court contest, it could favor Virginia, especially with the Hoos playing at home. Virginia won 10 games on their home floor this season and really slows people down.

North Carolina already owns a win over Virginia this season, beating them 65-41 in Chapel Hill just 10 days ago. The Heels won seven games on the road already this season and have won six of the last seven games overall, the lone loss in that span coming at Duke.

The style of play will determine the winner here. If Carolina can get up and down the floor, Virginia will have no choice but to play out of context. They have a lack of true scorers on the team and that will hurt tonight.
