College Basketball Michigan Wolverines vs Purdue Boilermakers Start Time, Odds, Free Pick

The 16th-ranked Michigan Wolverines hit the road tonight when they take on the Purdue Boilermakers. The game is scheduled for a 7 p.m. start time and it will be televised live on the Big Ten Network. Currently the odds for the game have Michigan favored by a couple of points here on the road.

Michigan is just a couple of games away from winning their first out-right Big Ten conference title since the 1986 season. They've swept Michigan State and now hit the road to take on the Boilermakers tonight. John Beilein is saying all the right things by telling his team they have a long way to go in order to wrap up that conference crown. They have a favorable schedule their last four games against Purdue, Minnesota, Illinois and Indiana. If they don't lose they'll have the top spot in the conference tournament, as well.

The Wolverines have alternated wins and losses dating back to the last time they beat Purdue. But this was a very tough stretch for the Wolverines, who have proven they can win on the road. They've gone 5-4 away from the Crisler Center with wins in Madison, East Lansing and Columbus to name a few.

Nik Stauskas and Caris LeVert are both playing well from the guard position. Stauskas poured in 25 while LeVert added 23 against Michigan State in the team's last win on Sunday. Michigan has stepped it up on the defensive end of the court as well. They're allowing only 65 points per game this season and Michigan has gotten some really solid play from Jordan Morgan and Jon Horford on the blocks.

Purdue comes into this game with two straight defeats. They're going to play the rest of the year without Sterling Carter, who tore an ACL at Nebraska. Overall, Purdue has lost seven of their nine games including a 75-66 loss to Michigan back in January. Michigan has won their last two appearances at Purdue prior to dropping the previous six games.

A.J. Hammons got 16 points and eight boards against Michigan in the team's first battle. It's going to take more than him tonight if Purdue is going to beat Michigan. The Wolverines have a lot of pressure on them with only four games standing between them and a conference championship. But we think they get it done tonight on the road.

Free Pick: Michigan 70, Purdue 63
