The Syracuse Orange are hosting the Florida State Seminoles tonight in ACC College Basketball action. The game is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on ESPN. Currently the betting odds for the game have the Orange favored by a handful of points to pick up the win.

Both Florida State and Syracuse are potential NCAA Tournament teams, a win here tonight would certainly be a nice addition to either resume. Each teams have 16 wins on the season, but they are both 6-5 in ACC play and in the middle of the pack. 

Syracuse has more Top 50 RPI wins with five, another win tonight over the Seminoles would give them another. The Orange are always tough to beat inside the Carrier Dome, only North Carolina has won there this season as an ACC team. Syracuse also has defeats to Clemson and Wisconsin.

Florida State has three wins against Top 50 RPI teams, the Seminoles' best win on the season came at home against Virginia. For the season they are 4-4 on the road with tough losses at Iowa, Miami and Louisville. Playing on the road in conference is always tough, it can be magnified in the Carrier Dome.

Syracuse has won three straight games overall, each of them coming at home. The Orange have also picked up wins in six of their last seven games overall. Florida State comes into tonight's game winners of four straight overall, two of those wins came on the road at Boston College and Wake Forest.

Tonight, Michael Gbinije will prove to be the difference for Syracuse. The Orange need another big win to help bolster the resume and picking up a victory over a decent Florida State team will help.
