The Oklahoma Sooners are hosting the Florida Gators in the Big 12/SEC college basketball challenge this weekend. The game is scheduled for a 2:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on ESPN. The college basketball odds for the game have the Gators favored to pick up the win on the road.
College Basketball Odds
Oklahoma is not having a good season. The Sooners are just 8-11 and have gone 3-9 against Top 100 RPI teams this year. The lone win was an impressive one at West Virginia, but outside of that the Sooners are really not getting anything done. Officially they’ve lost two in a row and recently had a stretch where they dropped seven consecutive games.
Jordan Woodard makes the Sooners a better team, but they are going to have troubles with Florida here. The Gators are 10-5 against RPI Top 100 teams this season but only two of those wins have come on the road. Florida is scrappy and can get the job done, ranking in the Top 25 nationally in both offensive and defensive efficiency numbers for the season.
Oklahoma does not have good numbers comparatively, plus they’re only 5-4 in home games this season. The best win in Norman came over Texas Tech back a few weeks ago.
KeVaughn Allen could play a big role here, he leads the Gators in scoring and recent had 29 in a loss at home to Vandy, which was not a good showing for Florida. They rebounded to blow out LSU on Wednesday, a game where Allen had just 11 points.
Given Florida’s 4-2 road mark and a complete domination of LSU earlier this week, they won’t be intimidated here, especially with Oklahoma’s struggles.
