College basketball Saturday and we will see the SMU Mustangs take on the Cincinnati Bearcats at Fifth Third Arena in Cincinnati, Ohio.  The game has a start time of 11:00 pm (Eastern) and will be televised on ESPN 2. Analysis:  The SMU Mustangs come in to this game having won 9 of their last 10 games to put their season record at 10-3 overall, which includes a 1-2 mark in true road games. The Mustangs are 12-5-1 ATS in their last 18 games following a ATS win and 13-6 ATS in their last 19 vs. American Athletic Conference, but just 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600. SMU has been a decent offensive team this year, ranking 108th in scoring (71.5 ppg), 36th in shooting (47.9%) and 82nd in 3 point shooting (36.8%) and 25th in FT shooting (74.5%). Defensively the Mustangs have been very solid, as they come in ranked 68th in points allowed (60.7 ppg), 24th in defensive FG% (37.4%) and 94th in 3 point defense (31.0%). 

The Cincinnati Bearcats have been without HC Mick Cronin for 3 games and will now be without him for the rest of the year as he deals with an ailment.  Still the Bearcats have had a nice start to their year, going 9-3 overall and 7-1 at home. The Bearcats are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games following a S.U. win and 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games following a ATS win. Cincinnati has been a poor offensive squad, ranking 286th in scoring (63.0 ppg), 186th in shooting (43.4%), 323rd in 3 point shooting (28.5%) and 196th in FT shooting (67.8%). The defense for this team has been excellent, ranking 11th in points allowed (55.0 ppg), 39th in defensive FG% (37.9%) and 131st in 3 point defense (32.0%).  

Pick: Both teams play a slow brand of ball and both teams play excellent defense, which should all lead to a low scoring game. The Mustangs can score some, but it will not be easy in this one vs a Cincy team that allows just 53.4 ppg at home. The Beacats are an ugly offensive team that averages just 62 ppg at home and SMU comes in allowing just 54.4 ppg in their last 5 games. This one should be played under 110.
