The Purdue Boilermakers and Indiana Hoosiers meet up tonight in Big Ten College Basketball action. The game is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on ESPN. Currently the College Basketball Betting Odds for the game have the Hoosiers favored by a couple of buckets to pick up the win.

Indiana and Purdue are both in the top half of the Big Ten standings and looking to find their way into the NCAA Tournament. Purdue is tied for second place in the conference but isn't getting a lot of recognition outside of Big Ten country. The Boilers have a couple of nice wins this season, but each of those have come at home. A win by Matt Painter's team on the road tonight would certainly help bolster the resume.

The Hoosiers own six wins against Top 50 RPI teams so far this season, also losing six as well. Indiana has been very good in home games this season, but very skeptical on the road. This game tonight is a rivalry battle against Purdue, which should make for a well-played, close contest.

Yogi Ferrell and James Blackmon Jr. both average at least 16 points a game for the Hoosiers, both shooting better than 40 percent from 3-point land as well. The Hoosiers will go as far as this duo will take them, with Troy Williams also having a major impact. When all three play well, Indiana is very tough to beat.

Purdue counters with a team that has won six of their last seven games. Both A.J. Hammons and Rapheal Davis are scoring better than 10 points a game while four others are pouring in at least eight points a game as well. Painter's team is playing well right now and a win tonight over Indiana would continue to help build their case for the NCAAs. 

The Boilers will have to slow the game down for a chance, though. Indiana loves running and scoring, averaging almost 80 points a game. This will be a close one and qualifies as a very solid rivalry series, but Indiana gets the win at home.
