The Wisconsin Badgers and Minnesota Golden Gophers meet up today in Big Ten College Basketball action. The game is scheduled for a noon start time and it will be televised nationally on ESPN. Currently the Betting Odds for the game have the Badgers favored by a big margin in this contest.

Wisconsin and Minnesota should be a pretty decent game. The Golden Gophers are doing anything they can to potentially reach the NCAA Tournament this season and picking up a win over Wisconsin on the road would be a big boost to the resume. The fifth-ranked Badgers are 13-1 in home games this season and have easily been the best Big Ten team all season. 

Minnesota has not been a good road team, winning just twice all season. They've also dropped two straight games in the Big Ten, which is really dampening their potential NCAA bid. Sitting at just 5-9 now in the conference hasn't helped, either, and many believe they are already on the outside with no shot at getting in. Richard Pitino still has his team believing it's possible, and they are going to have to get the best game of the season to even have a chance in this one. But it doesn't look good for Minnesota as the Gophers have dropped five straight games against Top 25 teams are have a brutal two wins in their last 55 road games against ranked opponents.

Wisconsin is favored by double digits for a reason. They have been too good in home games this year with Frank Kaminsky and Sam Dekker providing the Badgers with two of the best players in the league. Wisconsin defensively has been awesome as well, allowing opponents to score just 55 points a game on average. Minnesota has been solid on the offensive end, but defensively if they don't get teams to turn the basketball over, they can't get out in transition and get easy buckets. 

The Gophers have done a great job of causing teams to turn it over, but Wisconsin just doesn't turn it over. The Badgers will cruise in this one.
