Chicago Blackhawks vs Minnesota Wild Game 4 Second Round NHL Playoffs Start Time, Odds, Free Pick

Minnesota Wild Looking Like a Speed Bump on Chicago Blackhawks' Road to Repeat

Game 4 between the Chicago Blackhawks and Minnesota Wild in their Second Round NHL Playoffs series takes place tonight. The game is scheduled for a 9:30 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on the NBC Sports Network. Currently the odds for the game have the Blackhawks favored on the road.

The Chicago Blackhawks are looking to get back to the Stanley Cup Finals. Minnesota has been down and out already in this post season, so they have a lot of confidence riding on this game tonight anyway. The Wild trailed 2-0 in the first round to the Colorado Avalanche but ended up picking up a victory in the seventh game in overtime. Both of these teams have no problem finding a way to win on the ice and we're expecting a great game tonight.

Chicago is full of veteran players that obviously have playoff experience. The Wild have been adding pieces to their team in order to get to this point, but now they are looking to take that next step. Taking on the Blackhawks certainly hasn't been the best draw for the Wild, but they were able to pick up a Game 3 victory while shutting out Chicago on Tuesday.

The Blackhawks scored four and five goals in the opening two games of this series at home. Yet, on the road they haven't been the best. Game 3 saw the Blackhawks get shut out and they only got 19 shots on Wild goalie Ilya Bryzgalov. Chicago hasn't gotten a lot of shots off in this playoff series, connecting for just 22 in each of the opening two games. But to this point it's been enough to have them hold a 2-1 series lead. Chicago finished the regular season with a 19-14-8 record on the road, which isn't great but certainly isn't terrible.

Minnesota was one of the best teams in the league at home, sporting a 26-10-5 record. Tonight we like the Wild to get this game and even the series. Minnesota has played with their backs against the proverbial wall before and tonight they'll be able to do just enough to win.
