NFL preseason week 3 and we get a matchup between the Chicago Bears and the Seattle Seahawks at CenturyLink Field in Seattle, Washington. The game has a start time of 10:00 pm (Eastern) and will be televised on the NFL Network. Current Vegas odds have the Seahawks listed as 7 point favorites, while the total is set at 45.
Analysis: The Chicago Bears come in with a perfect 2-0 mark in the preseason, betting Philly in week 1 and then the Jags last week. their first two games were at home and now they take to the road for the first time. Jay Cutler was 7 of 9 for 75 yards and TD while in the game, but it was Jordan Palmer that led them to their two 4th quarter TDs that ultimately gave them the win. Palmer was 6 of 9 for 73 yards in the game, while Jimmy Clausen got most of the work, going 11 of 15 for 94 yards and an INT. Matt Forte saw very limited action and had -2 yards in 4 carries, while Ka'Deem Carey led the team in rushing with 36 yards and also had a TD.
The Seahawks come in with a 1-1 preseason mark, after losing to Denver in a week 1 re-match of last year's Super Bowl, and then beating San Diego pretty easily last week. The Seahawks racked up 403 yards, while limiting San Diego to just 238 yards in that game. Russell Wilson had a very good showing, as he hit 11 of 13 passes for 121 yards, while rushing for 31 yards and 2 scores. B.J. Daniels and Terrell Pryor combined to hit 3 of 6 passes for 44 yards. the real star of the game was Robert Turbin, who had 81 yards on the ground and 1 score. The Bears and Seahawks will be meeting for the fourth time in the preseason with all four meetings coming in the Pacific Northwest. Seattle owns a 2-1 advantage in the series.
Pick: Going with the Over here. I know allot of people are on the Bears and that suits me just fine, because of the Bears do keep it close it won't be a 21-17 type game. This Bears defense is still bad this year and could have allowed more points to the Jags last week, but Jacksonville had to keep settling for FGs. That won't happen here as the Seahawks know how to find the Endzone, Last week they piled up 403 yards vs the Chargers and did dame through the Air and on the ground and with Wilson in there for at least a half you can bet they will score some points. The Bears will be taking on a tough Seattle defense, but this is a strong Bears offense that will be able to score some points on this Seattle defense. I look for both teams to score plenty here in what should be a 28-24 type game.
