California is away from home for the first time this season and its road opener is an unenviable one to say the least. The Golden Bears meet No. 2 Oregon at 10:30pm ET tonight at Autzen Stadium in Eugene. This evening's rivalry clash between the two North Division rivals will be broadcast live on the Pac-12 Network. The latest Pac-12 College Football Odds from offshore bookmaker 5Dimes have the hosting Ducks listed as a heavy -36 against the spread favorite and the Over/Under set at a whopping 84 points. The Golden Bears and Ducks are drawing +7000 ($100 wins $7000) and -18500 money line odds ($18500 wins $100), respectively.

Sonny Dykes wasted no time remaking the Golden Bears offense and that has been evident in the team's first three games. Cal, which averaged just 23 points and 391 yards per game last season, is averaging 33.7 points and 555.7 yards per games this year.

Unfortunately for the Bears, the increased production has not translated into a winning record. California is 1-2 after suffering double digit losses to Northwestern and Ohio State.

It can expect a setback of the same nature tonight when it meets, arguably, the nation's best team in second ranked Oregon.

While the Golden Bears offensive numbers are noteworthy, the Ducks totals are borderline ridiculous. Oregon is averaging 61.3 points and 672 yards per game and none of its first three opponents (Nicholls State, Virginia, Tennessee) managed to stay within 40 points of its final score.

Cal may be better equipped to put points on the scoreboard than any team the Ducks have faced this year, but its defense may be the least equipped to slow Oregon down.

The Golden Bears rank 112th in pass defense, 121st in scoring defense, and 123rd in total defense. Given those numbers it is not unreasonable to think the Ducks top the 70 point mark this evening.
