The Brooklyn Nets will visit the dreaded Pepsi Center tonight for a meeting with the Denver Nuggets. This evening’s game between Brooklyn and Denver has a schedule start time of 9:00pm ET; the East versus West showdown can be seen live on the YES and Altitude Sports networks. NBA Odds have the Nuggets listed as a -6.5 against the spread favorite and the Over/Under set at 205 points.

The Nets, who are currently in the midst of an eight game road swing, improved their away record to 20-15 on Wednesday night with a 111-93 win at Portland.

Brooklyn, now 42-29 overall (fourth seed in the Eastern Conference), got a tremendous effort from Reggie Evans, who finished the game with 22 points and 26 rebounds. Brook Lopez also showed up big for the Nets as he scored a team high 28 points on 12-of-22 shooting.

Brooklyn will attempt to keep its road mojo working tonight, but the Pepsi Center has a way of putting even good teams in a funk. The altitude has something to do with that as do the Nuggets.

Denver comes into tonight’s game off back to back road losses, but it had reeled off 15 straight wins prior to the110-86 whipping it received in New Orleans on Monday night.

The Nuggets figure to get back on track this evening given their ridiculous 32-3 home mark. Denver has won 17 straight at the Pepsi Center and it compiled that streak against some pretty salty competition, including the Pacers, Rockets, Bulls, Celtics, Lakers, Clippers, Thunder, Knicks, and Grizzlies.

Notable Trends: Denver, which has won five straight at home against the Nets, is 10-0 straight up and 9-1 against the spread in its last 10 games as a home favorite with a spread between 4 and 7.5 points.
