Boston Bruins vs Montreal Canadiens Game 6 Second Round NHL Playoffs Start Time, Odds, Free Pick

Montreal Canadiens vs. Boston Bruins Game 2: Live Score and Highlights

The Boston Bruins and Montreal Canadiens continue their Second Round NHL Playoffs Series tonight with Game 6. The game is scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on the NBC Sports Network. Currently the odds for the game have Bruins favored on the road.

Game 6 tonight will feature the Boston Bruins looking to close out this second round series. Montreal led this series 2-1 after the opening three games of the series but Boston has picked up back-to-back victories, out-scoring the Canadiens 5-2 in those last two games.

And with their 3-2 advantage over the Canadiens, Boston now has a couple of chances to knock out their rivals and end their season, which would certainly be gratifying as the Bruins look to continue their post season. Montreal dominated Tampa Bay in the opening round of the playoffs but now look to regain some of their footing tonight on the ice.

Matt Fraser scored the game-winner in overtime back on Thursday in a game Boston won 1-0. The Bruins then scored four more goals in Game 5, including two on the power play in the second period to take a 3-0 lead. Boston goalie Tuukka Rask has been getting the job done in between the posts for the Bruins, stopping 62 shots in the last two games combined.

P.K. Subban is one of the best defenseman in the league and he's been at the middle of some controversy in this series. He notched the game-winner in Game 1 and was squirted in the face with water from Boston forward Shawn Thornton while Subban had the puck on the ice. Subban has scored four times and has assisted on three other goals for Montreal. The battle between Subban and the Bruins will be interesting to continue to see the rest of this series.

Carey Price made 60 stops in the last two games, but both of those ended up being losses for Montreal. The Canadiens are going to need him to continue to play well and hopefully get to the level he was at against the Lightning, when Montreal won four straight games.

Tonight we like Montreal to win at home. The Canadiens are now in must-win mode and playing a game at home in this situation is going to benefit them. Look for Montreal to snag a series-tying win here tonight and end the two-game streak by Boston.

Free Pick: Montreal 4, Boston 2
