The Iowa Hawkeyes are on the road later today when they take on the Northwestern Wildcats. The game is scheduled for a 3:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised live on the Big Ten Network. Currently the Betting Odds for the game have the Hawkeyes favored on the road to pick up the win.

Iowa is one of the bubble teams in the Big Ten fighting for a chance to play in the NCAA Tournament. While they have some really solid wins this season they also have nine defeats as well. None of the Hawkeyes' losses have come outside the Top 100, which makes tonight's game against Northwestern very important. The Hawkeyes absolutely have to win this game or their tournament hopes are going to be dashed.

Northwestern is 10-14 this season and doesn't have a single RPI 100 win. They have played a pretty tough schedule though, with nine defeats to Top 50 RPI teams and 12 total losses against Top 100 teams. The Big Ten hasn't been nearly as good as it's been in the past, but there are still many solid teams. Northwestern has just one conference win, picking up a road victory at Rutgers in late December.

The Hawkeyes need Aaron White to guide them to victory in this one. Iowa lost at home to Minnesota on Thursday, which didn't help their causes. Picking up another loss here to Northwestern would only make it worse. White averages a team-high 15 points and almost seven rebounds per game. He could provide the necessary leadership for Iowa to win this game on the road, but they still need solid games from their role players. Jarrod Uthoff is the only other player that averages in double digits.

Iowa is one of the rare teams that actually has a winning road record at 4-2. In today's game they get a big game from White as they continue to look for a potential NCAA berth.
